Darling 1940's vintage 3pc Winfield Pottery Dragon Flower pattern creamer and 2 teardrop ashtrays set. Winfield's Dragon Flower has a white background with a pink desert plant and flower. The pattern was produced in the 1940's and will be a wonderful addition to your Dragon Flower collection! Set includes the creamer and 2 matching personal ashtrays! No swanky table setting was complete back in the day without a smoking accoutrement for each guest. The set is clean as a whistle and ready to add that special touch to your modern home.
Winfield Pottery was founded in 1929 and continued in production until 1962. The company began in Pasadena, California, but moved to Santa Monica in 1946. After 1946, Winfield sold some of their rights to the American Ceramics Company so they began to mark their pottery with the name "Gabriel". Gabriel pieces are harder to find and identify but some of their patterns are identical to Winfield's.
Set
is in excellent condition! NO chips, dings or pings! Looks to have hardly been used and very well taken care of! Perhaps tiny surface wear from years of helping Madge saving these for a special occasion in her china cabinet, but nothing that distracts from this wonderful treasure of Winfield history.
