1940s WINFIELD PORCELAIN “DRAGON FLOWER” SMALL PLATTER.

Description

Winfield Pottery was a small California Pottery Company that moved from Pasadena to Santa Monica in the 1940s. It produced many floral-inspired lines honoring the beautiful flora of the (literally) blossoming new region. “ Dragon Flower” is one of the most exotic of these designs.
Winfield seems undervalued to me, possibly because it is more delicate and modern than most California pottery. It coordinates beautifully with lines like Russell Wright.
Piece is in EUC. I see no condition issues at all. Design is bright and clear. There is a glaze skip ( not a chip) I’m the blank side of the platter, as shown. Smaller size serving tray is perfect for today’s smaller families.
