2 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Artist Wine Labels Marc Chagall and Pierre Soulages

Description

Two unused wine labels from famed Chateau Mouton Rothschild, who commission art from celebrated artist. Here, a 1970 label from master Marc Chagall and a 1976 label by Pierre Soulages. Each about 4" x 5 3/4". In fine original condition.
About the labels from the Mouton Rothschild website: "
Rather than the wine, it was the living fruit of the vine, speared by a thrush or fed by a mother to her child, that Chagall chose to bring us here for the 1970 Mouton Rothschild label."
And,

Soulages has amused himself here too by incorporating the initial letters of Mouton Rothschild."
