These are huge with 6 liter capacity with over 15.5 inches in outside diameter (this is 400 mm), and tall, 5.5 inches outside (This is 140 mm).
Never used, New Old Stock;  these are glazed on the interior and upper exterior. Unglazed on the exterior lower section.

An evaporating basin is a tool used in labs to separate liquids and solids from a solution by allowing the water to evaporate off into the air. The result is either a more concentrated solution or the solid precipitate or crystals of the dissolved substance.
It looks like a bowl (made of ceramic) with a pour spout. Sometimes they're also called an evaporation dish.
They're made from thermally-stable porcelain that's glazed inside for easy cleaning.
Use porcelain evaporating dishes to heat chemical solutions and drive off the solvent, leaving behind the residual chemical solute. This is usually done by heating the evaporating dish.
