California Pottery, white body, smooth edge, hand-painted, Winfield trademark, 1950's, brown trim, brown passion flower, Pink Passion Flower
Winfield Passion Flower Dinner Plate. California Pottery. White Body, coupe shape, hand painted dark chocolate trim, Pink Passion Flower with light brown leaves in center, 10 1/4" diameter. Excellent condition with no damage. Great example of mid century California pottery.
Historical Info -- The Winfield China Company was established in Santa Monica, Ca. in 1929 and continued making fine dinnerware until 1962. Their lines have a strong Pacific Rim influence, often having rice bowls, sake cups, and a variety of small side dish shapes. The lines were either solid colored or more frequently decorated with hand painted motifs.
